The only Shopify app I use on every store.

Just like an iPhone. Shopify has apps you can install that add superpowers to your e-commerce store. Some are free. Others are paid. Most are shiny toys that can distract you from making meaningful progress on your store.

Knowing your numbers is the most important part of running a successful e-commerce business. It’s pretty overwhelming to look at the tons of reports Shopify gives you by default.

This brings me to my most used Shopify app. Lifetimely.

It allows you to know your key numbers on a daily basis which allows you to course correct your strategy before it’s too late.

Lifetimely is great because it takes just 5 minutes to setup & you get a daily report emailed to you every morning that shows you how profitable you were the day before. This is really helpful. Especially for e-commerce brands under $1MM in annual revenue that have a lean team. By lean, I mean it’s just you. LOL. It’s like having a data analyst & CFO rolled into one app deliver you a report each morning.

Here’s how it works. You simply install the app. Once installed you can easily follow along the built in tutorial videos that show you how to pull in your paid marketing spends directly from the platforms you’re advertising on. You can also setup what your margins are on your products so you can see how profitable you are.

Knowing your marketing expenses and marginal costs will help Lifetimely report on how profitable you are.

Lifetimely also helps you figure you what your customer lifetime value is. Plus you can uncover which products people buy first, second, third & so on. All of this data is so helpful in building a solid e-commerce strategy.

Already have a Shopify store & want to check this app out? Here’s a link to Lifetimely.io where you can go deeper on what’s possible.

Reinventing the wheel when it comes to writing copy is a waste of time. There are plenty of useful & effective frameworks you can leverage to write marketing copy for your e-commerce brand. Here’s a list of my 3 favorite frameworks that I go to when I want to write good copy, quickly: AIDA, StoryBrand & TMC. If you remember nothing else from this article, remember that you should spend 80% of your time writing the hook which is the first part someone reads when they are reading your copy....
